Despite closing the voting period early, no one can stop the fans of SNSD from being voted by Asian Netizens as the Best Girl Group in Asia. SNSD/Girls Generation is a South Korean girlgroup which is composed of Nine members namely, Yoona, Tiffany, Yuri, Hyoyeon, Sooyoung, Seohyun, Taeyeon, Jessica and Sunny. Early this year they perfomed a new song called Show, Show, Show. And yes the SM Management confired that they would be back in February 2010 for another new album to be released soon. SNSD is not just famous in singing but they are great endorsers as well. Since their popular album Girls Generation has been released, no one can stop the popularity of this girl group. TV appearances, endorsements, and acting here and there, they will surely remain in the entertainment industry for a longer time.

And in second place, is the group 2ne1 which pronounced as twenty-one and is created by Yahoo Group. They are considered as the female version of another famous boyband Bigbang. During their 2009 debut album, the song Lollipop which has been featured for LG cyon phone, made quite an impact and even became a number 1 hit in the chart. With even plagiarism controversy with the group they can’t stop their rise to fame!.

The third spot goes to the wondergirls. This group is again from South Korea. The girls have scored 3 consecutives number 1 single such as Tell Me, So Hot and Nobody. They began their entry in American market late 2009 with “Nobody” and has been the first Korean artist to enter Billboard Hot 100. Nobody Nobody has been used as a title of a movie in Metro Manila Film Festival and is considered a favorite song during Christmas parties of different government agencies and private parties in the Philippines.

And now, according to Asian Netizens from Philippine, Korea, Japan, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia ,Singapore, Thailand, US and Canada, the people have spoken and finally they have chosen the hottest and the best boyband in town today! And yes the winner who got the most number of votes is, Shinwha which is a popular South Korean Boyband and Hip hop group. They are composed of 6 members namely, Eric Mun, Lee Min Woo, Kim Dong Wan, Shin Hye Sung, Jun Jin, Andy Lee. Shinwha has been presented on 1998-1999 and they have stayed in the business for around 11 years now and still holding the longest Korean boyband in existence. Although now they have pursued different directions but they remain friends. Shinwha most notable songs are Only One, Hey, and Come On.



Whereas, in second spot is the group TVXQ/DBSG. Despite issues of disbandment and lawsuits, no one can stop their fans from voting them. TVXQ is a South Korean Boyband which is under SM entertainment. As an added feather to their cap, they were even listed in Guiness Book of World record for having the world’s largest official fan club with around 800,000 official members just in Korea. TVXQ has been endorsing products like Anycall and Fila to name a few. TVXQ songs that may have been a major favorite and has been in our minds are Purple Line, Bolero, Share the world which topped the chart when it has been released. The group became famous not only in Korea but also in Japan and other parts of Asia.



And the 3rd spot goes to another Korean band “Shinee”. The group is a contemporary R and B South Korean Boyband and is considered fashion icon of Korea’s younger generation. The most popular of all their songs would probably be Bodyguard, a song which is used by Kim Bum and Kim So Eun in its Samsung Anycall commercial. Another standout song performed by them is Stand By me which has been used in the popular drama Boys over flower.
